Counselling Psychology Online is group of skilled and friendly Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists and Counsellors offering online private psychological therapy. We are based in Surrey, Kent, Staffordshire and Somerset, but due to being online therapists, we can offer our services to clients all around the United Kingdom. 

Our clinicians are experienced in providing individually tailored treatments for adults, children, adolescents, couples and families. 

We offer empathic, non-judgmental and confidential therapy for a range of psychological, emotional and relational difficulties, including depression, anxiety (panic, social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, health anxiety, phobias) relationship difficulties, ‘life transitions’, anger, eating disorders and addictions.

Kate

Principal Psychologist, CBT and EMDR Therapist Founder and Clinical Director.

Dr Kate Bexley has over 15 years experience in helping people overcome a broad array of mental health difficulties, and is particularly passionate about helping those with low self-esteem, imposter syndrome, anxiety-related difficulties and low mood / depression. She is a qualified and registered Counselling Psychologist (DPsych) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT; PGDip, PGCert).

She is also a trained Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) Therapist. Kate has experience assessing and treating different client groups with varying psychological difficulties, within Private Psychiatric Hospitals, the NHS, and Non-profit organisations, in the UK and abroad. She uses a blend of CBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR to help people tackle their difficulties. 

Ashley

CBT Therapist, Counsellor, Coach. Counselling Psychologist (MSc)

Ashley has a specialist interest in helping people affected by stress, anxiety-related difficulties and life transitions (including bereavement), but is also very experienced in helping those with a wide range of other difficulties.

She has a Masters in Counselling Psychology, is a Qualified CBT Therapist, an experienced Counsellor, and also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching.

She has been working in the field of mental health for just over 10 years and has also undertaken further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness.

With a vast amount of experience over many years, she is highly capable of adapting her approach to best suit the needs of her clients. 

Umberto

CBT and EMDR Therapist, Qualified Psychologist

Umberto has over 16 years experience in helping people with a wide range of difficulties, but particularly: trauma / PTSD, anxiety-related difficulties, depression and EUPD/ BPD.

He qualified as Psychologist in 2004 in Italy and trained for a further 4 years and qualified as Cognitive Constructivist Psychotherapist. He then moved to the UK and trained to become a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Supervisor.

He has trained in a broad range of therapeutic approaches, and his extensive studies have enabled him to create a flexible style of working to meet individual client needs, making use of Integrative Counselling, CBT, ACT, CFT, EMDR and Mindfulness. 

Debbie

CBT and EMDR Therapist and Counsellor

Debbie is a warm, friendly, and patient therapist who has been working with people for over 16 to overcome their mental health difficulties. She is an accredited and qualified CBT Therapist, a skilled counsellor and a trained EMDR Therapist.

Before qualifying as a CBT and EMDR therapist, Debbie trained as and became a highly experienced Counsellor, which means that she places a high value on truly empathising with, and validating your difficulties by understanding them from your frame of reference.

She is also able to bring in the skills and techniques learned through her training in CBT and EMDR to help you move toward effective and lasting change.

Helan

CBT Therapist, DBT Therapist, CBT-E Therapist

Having worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) for over 12 years, Helan specialises in helping children and young people struggling with complex mental health difficulties, including: abuse, attachment disorder, bereavement, anxiety disorders and depression, as well as those with autism/ ASD and learning difficulties.

She is also qualified and experienced in helping those with disordered eating, having trained in Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-e), an effective treatment for eating disorders. Helan is qualified and BABCP accredited CBT Therapist and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Therapist.

Helan has over 25 years Mental Health experience in the NHS in both adult and children’s mental health services. In addition to being a qualified therapist, Helan has core profession as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

Premila

Psychotherapist & Counsellor

Premila is a qualified and accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist Therapist and skilled Counsellor. She is an incredibly warm, patient and sensitive therapist who has been helping people understand and better manage mental health difficulties for over 16 years.

Premila is BACP accredited having achieved her Advanced Diploma at Counselling with University of Cambridge. Her training, theoretical background and practice is rooted in Psychodynamic discipline where the focus is mainly on the unconscious relationship patterns that have evolved since childhood.

She also draws on other therapeutic methods, including CBT, Brief Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, as well as Imago Therapy, mainly with Couple’s work.

Daniela

Chartered Counselling Psychologist and EMDR Therapist

Daniela is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and EMDR therapist, specialising in trauma, including trauma-related anxiety and attachment and interpersonal difficulties.

She has been practicing since 2003 and worked as a senior psychologist and a clinical lead in NHS within a number of settings, including mental health hospitals and secondary community mental health services.

Daniela is especially passionate about developing pragmatic and innovative approaches to fast-track people’s ability to make changes they want to experience in their lives.

She has received her own in-depth therapy over several years so is able to appreciate how it feels to be a client and what is needed for a successful change.

Andrew

Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Andrew is a chartered (BPS), registered (HCPC) and former Senior Psychologist within the NHS. He has been practising therapy since 2007. Prior to this, Andrew gained a wealth of experience in understanding psychological difficulties as an A Level Psychology teacher.

Andrew specialises in helping those with anxiety related difficulties, low mood /depression, stress and low self-esteem. Andrew’s main therapy model is CBT, which emphasises the development of understanding and change within a time-frame, usually around 8-12 sessions. CBT also encourages collaboration, which will allow you to tackle problems together, and active participation on your part through homework tasks set between sessions to apply what’s learned in therapy to your day-to-day life.

Aditi

Qualified and HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist

 

Aditi (DPscyh) is a qualified and HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience in a broad array of difficulties and evidence-based treatment methods. She is especially passionate about helping people who struggle with the feelings of anxiety related to the demands of society, culture, and relationships.

Aditi appreciates everyone’s challenges that are unique to them; above all, she aims to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can comfortably and confidentially discuss your difficult experiences and address them in a highly personalised way. This may be through short-term (6-20 sessions) or longer-term counselling. She is also able to offer you stress management training, mindfulness and life coaching.

Core therapeutic approaches adopted by Aditi include trauma-focused and third-wave CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), relational approaches such as Mentalization Based therapy (MBT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) and skill-based groups such as Structural Clinical Management (SCM).

Becca

Qualified Clinical Psychologist

Becca is a qualified Clinical Psychologist, which means she is trained to use different types of therapies together to help people with a wide range of difficulties. She has over 10 years’ experience of working in mental health services and feels passionately about tailoring the therapies she uses for sessions to feel helpful in meeting the hopes and goals of the people she works with.

Becca has worked in specialist NHS services for people who have experienced trauma, loss, and women’s health-related difficulties. She also has experience of supporting birthing people and partners before, during, and after pregnancy.

Becca has completed additional training in EMDR therapy, interventions to support parents and infants with their attachment, and narrative therapy. She also draws on compassion-focused therapy approaches in her work, alongside other evidence-based approaches including acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy.
